Ōkami

Part of a digital series of images I worked based on research focusing on the female figure viewed through mythology and history relating to animals, humans and their cultural connotations.

This image represents the wolf of Japan and was inspired by the historical female samurai, Tomoe Gozen, as well as designs and imagery inspired by Japanese woodblock prints.
